Major Arcana
The Hierophant or The Pope:
The Hierophant ot Pope stands for learning trades within a culture, as well as someone who has the ability to interpret knowledge that is not available to everyone and which is secret.
It aims to initiate novices into the womb of the Church to assume a number of predetermined roles.
It represents a wise man and diplomat.
It may mean marriage.
But The Hierophant not only represents the Church, but also different groups such as schools, teams, societies, etc., and this is so because his kingdom is also structured with a set of rules and certain roles are assigned, with rules that protect its members.
It is also a symbol of the need to adapt to these rules and that the querent is fighting a somewhat conservative force.
On the topic of love, it means that the querent should conform to his/her partner, and he/she is upset because there are people who want to intrude on their privacy.
If it is right-side–up, it represents situations that must be analyzed in depth and also with a great sense of duty.
It also stands for calm and indulgence. The Hierophant points to the resolution of conflicts within a marriage. If it is reversed, it means tension, anxiety, and symbolizes a person who gives advice but with no practical sense.
The keywords associated with this card are: revelation, tradition, teaching, tenacity.
